Agnel & Renee opted for a different look for their pre-wedding portraits. They wanted vintage, grunge and high fashion so we decided to have their shoot at a workshop and by the railway tracks. We had to play with different lighting setups to create the high fashion and dynamic look. It was a fun, exciting and something out of the ordinary for us. Enjoy the pics below.
Sze was messing around with his film cameras as well…here are some shots.
We are still getting huge backlog from blog entries. Working hard this week to catch up with it. Here are some highlights from Albert and Rachel’s amazing wedding day. Ceremony was held in St. Peter’s in Bangsar. You can see in alot of the photos both Albert and Rachel dancing. That’s because they are amazing dancers
We also manage to fit in a short portrait session for them in the afternoon. It was shot in the Taylor’s Lakeside Campus. I believe that we were the 1st ever to do any sort of portrait in the campus
We will be having a booth in the Cyberview Lodge Resort & Spa Wedding Fair on the 6th June 2010. Feel free to pop by to visit us and other great vendors
There will be lucky draw and prizes for early birds.
It’s been an awesome time for us in Melbourne. After leaving for 12 years, I am now reminded why they said you can have 4 seasons in a day
We had hot, wet and cold weather all in the span of a week. At the end of it, we loved it! Every moment of it. Thanks to Hansen and Elona for giving us a chance to capture beautiful images of them.
It was a pleasure to meet Paul & Dinah again, this time round as their photographers for their AD wedding. Though both of them are residing in Melbourne, they have decided to exchange their vows in Malaysia so that their relatives and friends are able to be a part of their joyous occasion. We didn’t have any torturing games for the groom’s buddies this time round, lucky for them . Both of them decided to ‘unveil’ themselves only during the final moments when Dinah walked down the church aisle with Dad.
Special thanks to John from FOS for second-shooting with me. Do check out their pre-wedding portraits which we covered several months earlier too at http://www.creativeclicks.com.my/blog/?p=1913
Here are some shots from that day.
The flare came from the jeweleries that they were peeping at
From the earlier sneak peaks of the photos in B&W film, here are some digital shots Ken & Joy’s wedding . It was a simple yet intimate wedding. We had some time to bring both Ken & Joy for an outdoor portrait session as their schedule was relatively relaxed, considering how tight it can be to have both church ceremony and the chinese culture practices during the same day. Here are some favourites from the day.
I have not shot film for nearly 15 years. I started off shooting way back in school for my school magazine in St John’s Institution. Recently, I manage to get hold of an old Nikon FE2 with a MD-12 motordrive.
Shot with Ilford HP5+ 400 film with 50mm and 85mm lenses.
These are scans from contact prints on a dirty canon scanner(Please bear with the dust dot on the scans). Am still thinking on which portrait that needs to be enlarged. Definitely will be doing more film work in the future.
Once again, CVL is having a wedding fair and we will be having a booth there. There is a whole list of lucky draw prizes to be won for early birds. Swing by if you or you know someone who plans to get married in 2010
Date: 13th December 2009
We have not met Teik Meng and Valerie until the day of the shoot, only phone and email conversations. But the moment we met them on Church Street Pier, we knew that it was going to be an awesome day..
They had their e-session with us and in between, they had their ROM done as well. Long but fruitful day for them and for us.
Here are some teasers from our E-Session shoot with Teik Ming and Valerie…
And lastly.. the whole group after a long day of shoot….
Stay tune for more photos and an awesome slideshow…
Paul & Dinah booked us to cover their wedding early next year. As Dinah was back for holidays from Melbourne for 2 weeks, they wanted to take this opportunity to have their pre-wedding session. We are glad that we are able to make it for their pre-wedding with such short notice and within a short time frame. Both of them were awesome, open to all kind of ideas we had for them, trusting us fully to bring the best out of them. Here are some photos of the day…
The last few moments before the sun set beyond the horizon… they were blessed, though it was a cloudy day.
We recently had a wedding fair at CyberView Lodge whereby a lucky couple won a free pre-wedding shoot from us . Here is a compilation of our work that we presented during the fair.
I have known Alex for more than 20 years. We were from the same church and same class in Sunday School. When he called me up to engage us for our prewedding portraits I was really excited and honoured.
One thing that I told both Lisa and Alex when we met them before the shoot was, we wanted to see romance.. We wanted loads of it.. and we wanted it oozing If we didn’t see it, we would beat it out from them.. or just give them Tequila.
We then went ahead in planning for the photoshoot. One thing that I did not know about Alex all these while is his ability to strike a pose . It reminded me of the super male model character Ben Stiller played in this movie call Zoolander. I remember Larry Zoolander has got a name for his pose .. “Blue Steel”. Lisa then caught up and started giving us America’s Top Model poses giving Alex some competition.
We had so much fun the whole day shooting with them.
From these few teaser shots, they were definitely ozzing with romance..(without the use of knuckles or alcohol)
Lye Keat & Mei Li decided to have their engagement portraits taken in Hong Kong. To be honest it was a challenge for Sze and I as Hong Kong was overly crowded with people. We too had to rely solely on our researched locations as it was our first time shooting in Hong Kong . Here are some previews from the shoot .
The following few shots were taken at noon, not a very flattering time for portraits with the sun’s harsh lighting. However, thanks to my newly modified ‘Duo-Flash Lighting Rod’…shooting at this time of day has made it possible. It took quite a bit of flash power to balance the ambient and to bring back details in the sky. Special thanks to Rachel our make-up-artist who held the flash at times…and of course I have to mention that Sze did held it many times though he was busy shooting. Well that’s what partners are for right?
We headed back to the hotel for the remaining shots.
Lastly…’behind the scenes’..Sze with the modified ‘Duo-Flash Lighting Rod’
The 1st shoot of 2009. I am in Seremban today covering the wedding of Poh Heng and Ying Sing. Poh Heng is a close friend of mine and today is a really special day for him. He suprised us when he told us he is getting married. But I guess it’s time for him anyways
Here are some teaser shots from his day so far.. both Poh Heng and Ying Sing are resting as I am working on their slideshow for tonight.
Stay tune for more coming up Need to rest now for tonight…

Here is a montage that we made for the weddings we have shot from Sept 07 to Sept 08 so far. Many thanks to each of the couple who have entrusted us to document and caputre one of the most important day of their life.
When we look back at this montage, we remember every one of you and every shot we have taken for you. You guys have made this year awesome for us and we will build on this to take us to new heights.
We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves with Alex & Kah Peng’s ROM & portraiture shoot. They were such a fun and sporting couple who practically agrees to all the ideas that we had for them. It’s a great deal to trust your photographers when they are trying to envision the shots . Here are some of the rewards from the day..
We were hired for a job from Cyberview to shoot a wedding decor that was being held there. Yes.. Not the wedding but the decors and we were all amazed by the amount of fresh flowers used in this event. Indeed alot of excellent touch being placed into the place. Cyber wanted to document this beautiful set up. Here are some of the shots we manage to capture during that session. Thank goodness we manage to finish the outdoor shoot before the drizzle came down..

Yesterday (18th May 2008) Tim and Jacklyn had their wedding dinner in Subang Sheraton and we manage to get them out for some fun portrait shoot. Although alittle hot, but we manage to capture some nice moments of them together. (Tim found the heat and humidity unbearable…. Finally.. someone who understands how I feel everyday…..)
Ontop of that, we had help from 3 lovely assistants aka Art Directors…. (Jill, Syat and Lee Ying)
RED HOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Check out the Montage and the Gallery for their lovely photos…
