Images shot with35mm and 120 format Kodak Tri-x 400, Fuji Neopan 400, Fuji Pro 160S, Ilford Delta 3200 (Why film?? Because it feels different from digital images, because it’s more challenging, because we can?Â
Here’s the slideshow and some featured still shots
This was one of our 1st few shoots in January 2010. Sern Yi and Michelle got married in the Sunway Convention Center. It was a super fun coverage and we manage to slot on a short portrait center with scenes right smack in the middle of Sunway Pyramid shopping center. We got them to stand with mannequins in front of a shop display . We also had the privilege to meet Daniel who was Michelle’s brother who’s another fellow photographer www.danselphotography.com
We were all super excited about this shoot for Hansen and Elona. It was a beautiful place with beautiful light. Super weather and the day ended with an outdoor tea ceremony. Also check out the beautiful Bentley for wedding car.
We are still getting huge backlog from blog entries. Working hard this week to catch up with it. Here are some highlights from Albert and Rachel’s amazing wedding day. Ceremony was held in St. Peter’s in Bangsar. You can see in alot of the photos both Albert and Rachel dancing. That’s because they are amazing dancers
We also manage to fit in a short portrait session for them in the afternoon. It was shot in the Taylor’s Lakeside Campus. I believe that we were the 1st ever to do any sort of portrait in the campus
Here’s a quick post of Samuel & Jin Ming’s wedding that we covered. Samuel and Jin Ming, both who have been living overseas have decided to have their wedding back in Malaysia with their relatives and friends. It was a simple yet intimate wedding. Here are some shots from that day.
Both Kenneth and Jaclyn were my highschool buddies and their wedding has allowed me to reconnect with many friends that I’ve lost touched with. As Jaclyn’s Dad was a teacher in our school, the dinner felt almost like an alumni night, as a portion of the guests in the dinner reception were my school teachers and friends. During the day, I was off the hook of being one of the ‘heng tai’ since I was their photographer. It was just ‘fun’ to be able just to watch the ‘heng tais’ being tortured while I’m there laughing away. It was a great and fun time.
Here are some photos that we would love to share …
It was a pleasure to meet Paul & Dinah again, this time round as their photographers for their AD wedding. Though both of them are residing in Melbourne, they have decided to exchange their vows in Malaysia so that their relatives and friends are able to be a part of their joyous occasion. We didn’t have any torturing games for the groom’s buddies this time round, lucky for them . Both of them decided to ‘unveil’ themselves only during the final moments when Dinah walked down the church aisle with Dad.
Special thanks to John from FOS for second-shooting with me. Do check out their pre-wedding portraits which we covered several months earlier too at http://www.creativeclicks.com.my/blog/?p=1913
Here are some shots from that day.
The flare came from the jeweleries that they were peeping at
From the earlier sneak peaks of the photos in B&W film, here are some digital shots Ken & Joy’s wedding . It was a simple yet intimate wedding. We had some time to bring both Ken & Joy for an outdoor portrait session as their schedule was relatively relaxed, considering how tight it can be to have both church ceremony and the chinese culture practices during the same day. Here are some favourites from the day.
For the past several weeks, we have been really packed with multiple shoots hence the delayed blog update. Here’s a quick post of a wedding that we recently covered. Stay tune for more wedding blog entries soon!
I have not shot film for nearly 15 years. I started off shooting way back in school for my school magazine in St John’s Institution. Recently, I manage to get hold of an old Nikon FE2 with a MD-12 motordrive.
Shot with Ilford HP5+ 400 film with 50mm and 85mm lenses.
These are scans from contact prints on a dirty canon scanner(Please bear with the dust dot on the scans). Am still thinking on which portrait that needs to be enlarged. Definitely will be doing more film work in the future.
We design every album personally. These are flush mount albums printed on photo paper which will last a long long time.. (Your grandchildren will get to flip thru them if they are careful:)
These albums are highly recommended medium to represent your pre-wedding/portraits/e-sessions photos.
Once again, CVL is having a wedding fair and we will be having a booth there. There is a whole list of lucky draw prizes to be won for early birds. Swing by if you or you know someone who plans to get married in 2010
Date: 13th December 2009
It was an early start for us as the wedding was in Seremban. Having only several hours to sleep the day before, we were still all geared up to provide our best to our clients. Shawn & Reinee were very accomodative and kind as they took their effort to provide us a with day room for our same-day edit (SDE) and for some rest in between.
Their ceremony was held in Wesley Methodist church which is nearly a century old. We managed to steal them away from the crowd for a quick 15-min portraiture session after the ceremony.

The shot that left my lens smeared with champagne…
Penang… Land of glorious food.. We were back again. For Teik Ming and Valerie’s AD coverage. After an awesome shoot for their pre wedding, we were back for more.
We had such an amazing time with Teik Ming and Valerie and both their families during our entire trip in Penang.
BIG Thank you to the Goh and Tay family for making us so welcome and letting us be a part of their joyous celebration.
Here are some photos of a recent wedding coverage. We will always try to slot in some portrait sessions during the wedding but many times it’s not possible because of hectic schedules . We’re glad that this time, its an exception as both Raymond & Ivy managed their timing for us to have some shots around their wedding dinner venue.
Cute pup…just couldn’t resist taking its picture..
Some portraits, just before they walked into the ballroom…
