We have not been updating the blog as frequent as we should as we have been rushing for deadlines. Here are some pictures of Alvin & Jessica’s wedding which was held in January. This time round, we had some fun with portraits taken in a fire station. Special thanks to our Bomba team for granting us the special privilege even without prior notice .
It was a pleasure to meet Paul & Dinah again, this time round as their photographers for their AD wedding. Though both of them are residing in Melbourne, they have decided to exchange their vows in Malaysia so that their relatives and friends are able to be a part of their joyous occasion. We didn’t have any torturing games for the groom’s buddies this time round, lucky for them . Both of them decided to ‘unveil’ themselves only during the final moments when Dinah walked down the church aisle with Dad.
Special thanks to John from FOS for second-shooting with me. Do check out their pre-wedding portraits which we covered several months earlier too at http://www.creativeclicks.com.my/blog/?p=1913
Here are some shots from that day.
The flare came from the jeweleries that they were peeping at
From the earlier sneak peaks of the photos in B&W film, here are some digital shots Ken & Joy’s wedding . It was a simple yet intimate wedding. We had some time to bring both Ken & Joy for an outdoor portrait session as their schedule was relatively relaxed, considering how tight it can be to have both church ceremony and the chinese culture practices during the same day. Here are some favourites from the day.
For the past several weeks, we have been really packed with multiple shoots hence the delayed blog update. Here’s a quick post of a wedding that we recently covered. Stay tune for more wedding blog entries soon!
I have not shot film for nearly 15 years. I started off shooting way back in school for my school magazine in St John’s Institution. Recently, I manage to get hold of an old Nikon FE2 with a MD-12 motordrive.
Shot with Ilford HP5+ 400 film with 50mm and 85mm lenses.
These are scans from contact prints on a dirty canon scanner(Please bear with the dust dot on the scans). Am still thinking on which portrait that needs to be enlarged. Definitely will be doing more film work in the future.
We design every album personally. These are flush mount albums printed on photo paper which will last a long long time.. (Your grandchildren will get to flip thru them if they are careful:)
These albums are highly recommended medium to represent your pre-wedding/portraits/e-sessions photos.
It was just in a span of 15 minutes when the bright sunny sky turned gloomy with heavy black clouds. The downpour happened just at the moments when guests are expected to arrive for the outdoor ceremony. With great help from friends and relatives around, they managed to setup for an indoor ceremony very quickly. The change in plan did not stirred Vincent & Angie from having their time of their life. With the slightly delayed schedule due to change of venue, we took the opportunity to bring the couple around the hotel for some portraits instead
Once again, CVL is having a wedding fair and we will be having a booth there. There is a whole list of lucky draw prizes to be won for early birds. Swing by if you or you know someone who plans to get married in 2010
Date: 13th December 2009
Penang… Land of glorious food.. We were back again. For Teik Ming and Valerie’s AD coverage. After an awesome shoot for their pre wedding, we were back for more.
We had such an amazing time with Teik Ming and Valerie and both their families during our entire trip in Penang.
BIG Thank you to the Goh and Tay family for making us so welcome and letting us be a part of their joyous celebration.
We had the privilege to cover Khin Ping’s sister’s wedding last year and it’s her turn this year. The groom Kar Fai was my high-school mate and there was a small reunion when a bunch of them were present during the wedding dinner. There were some embarrassing moments when I could not remember some of them because they have changed so much!
Congrats to both of you Kar Fai and Khin Ping, here are some pictures of your coverage. Will upload the SDE slideshow soon ..
Special thanks to John from FOS for assisting me with the shoot.
They are just as important as the priest who conducts them. They are usually made up of 2 members. One blowing the Nadaswaram and one playing the Tavil.
Here are some interesting shots of the ‘band’ from our recent wedding shoot.
Prakash is an old friend of mine who is currently working in Norway. I was really honored when he called me up last year to book us for his wedding coverage. Here are some of our coverage from Prakash and Sarabjit.
Here are some of the photos from the two days of coverage.
Mehendi Ceremony | 25.08.09
The ritual of mehendi is celebrated by applying beautiful and intricate henna designs on the hands and feet of the girl. It is said that the deeper the color of the mehendi on the stronger would be the bond between the bride and the groom. The mehendi designs is applied by a female relative of the house or by a professional mehendiwala who after applying mehendi on the bride also decorates the hands of all the female relatives who are preset there. In some communities another ritual, the haldi ceremony is celebrated together with mehendi ceremony. In this turmeric paste is applied on the hands, feet and face of the girl. It is said the application of turmeric gives a beautiful glow to the skin of the girl. In some cases the haldi and the mehendi ceremony are held together. The haldi ceremony is observed in both the groom and the bride’s place.
We only manage to meet up with Janssen & Sharon during the week of their wedding. Both of them are working in Adelaide and with great help from their parents and friends, they manage to organize their wedding here in Malaysia mostly via phone calls and emails. Their wedding was filled with lots of laughter and touching moments. We were indeed blessed to be able to participate with them in this joyous occasion.
Here are some shots from the day, lots of photos for this post.
This is our coverage of Sathis and Shanti’s engagement ceremony. We have been shooting quite a few indian weddings in the past few months and it’s really been an amazing eye opening experience for us in CC to cross into different culture and different weddings.
Both Sathis and Shanti has the biggest smiles. One of the most jolly souls you’ll ever meet. May be it’s just that they are so excited to be engaged to each other Definitely made for each other.
I know both of them are dying to see the photos… So here they are…
Here is the slideshow for their engagement ceremony and some shots to share..
